Topic: Tawheed and its importance

Assalamualaykum waraahmatu Lahi wa barakatuhu. As a student of Islamic Online University, I would like to thank Allah (SWT) for giving me strength and the opportunity to witness yet another blessed semester to write my Aqeeda assignment at ease. This assignment writing, enable me to have an insight of the general concept of Tawheed which is the upright corner stone upon which our noble religion Islam is established on. The knowledge gained on this Aqeeda assignment, has immensely assisted me a lot to have a broad comprehension on the importance of the knowledge of Tawheed and extensively revived my faith in order to stick on the noble practices of the divine Prophet Muhammad (Salall Lahu allayhi wassallam). Benefits of knowledge of Tawheed

However, reflecting back on the importance of Tawheed, let us first look at the definition of Tawheed. Tawheed may be define as the unanimity of Allah (SWT) (Wthat is Tawheed?, 1997). This definition does not give it an insight or detail description of what it is all about, linguistically, the word Tawheed means unification to make something one (What is Tawheed?, 1997). This is an essential aspect in Islam, and there is no chapter in the Holy Quran that does not acknowledge Tawheed (Al-Fawzaan, 2015).

More importantly, it is signifying the unity and oneness of Allah (SWT) who in no way to be given a partner by his creatures. This is considered as a significant aspect in Islam, and if an individual abuses it, will certainly fall into the trap of Shaytan and therefore committing a major sin which shall never be forgiven unless the individual repents before death comes. Having an extensive understanding of what Tawheed is all about the believer will in all the time be conscious of Shirk, because he or she will devote all act of worship to Allah Aza wajjal alone, and not to any of his creatures. The importance of gaining the significance knowledge of Tawheed cannot be over emphasize. At-Tawheed is very crucial for a Muslim believer to quest for in this world, as this is going to ultimately benefit him in this dunya and certainly in the hereafter in sha Allah. Muslim brothers and sisters need to tirelessly strive hard to gain the knowledge of Tawheed simply because, they can be able to defend themselves if they are attack by theological philosophies (The Importance of Acquiring Knowledge in At-Tawheed, n.d.) In this light we will be able to defend the Deen base on a clear knowledge of what has been gained from At Tawheed. If someone is acquainted with an insight of what Tawheed really imply, the individual will definitely do away with all forms of giving Allah a partner, shirk which is a major shirk.

The importance of knowledge of Tawheed will help Muslim believers to be aware of any deviant philosophy as this will make him to defend himself or herself from any form of deviant ideology that might arise (The Importance of Acquiring Knowledge in At-Tawheed, n.d.). Being knowledgeable of what At-Tawheed is all about, will make servants of Allah (SWT) to do what is permissible of them and fearfully reverse from what is considered to be Makrooh or Haram (The Importance of Acquiring Knowledge in At-Tawheed, n.d.). This will certainly pave way for the person not to enter into hell fire by the will of Allah (SWT). Looking at the fact that acquiring knowledge of Tawheed and abiding by all its principles and applications correctly, it would surely increase your Iman and you will spiritually feel uplifted. For the importance of knowledge of Tawheed to be widely comprehensive, I would concisely put it in a block diagram. Below is a diagrammatical representation of Tawheed (htt) The above block diagram will help us have a vivid understanding of the importance of knowledge of Tawheed. To begin with Ruboobiyya which is part of Tawheed, it is the attribution of all acts of worship to the Supreme Being, Allah (SWT) (Abdekabir, n.d.). In this respect, it will be very much ideal for one to increase his quest for knowledge in the aspect of At- Tawheed as it is the cream in the worship of only one Allah (SWT).If an individual have strong knowledge in it, it will enable him or her to be able to break all barriers of ignorance of shirk and other disobedience to the commandments of Allah (SWT). This effort will make the individual to attribute all acts of worship to Allah alone (SWT) as He alone deserves all forms of worships and not by any of his creatures. Tawheed al- Ruboobiyya will enable us to have a deep insight of Tawheed that only Allah deserves to be worship alone and all sovereignty belongs to him alone (Abdekabir, n.d.).
More importantly, another category of Tawheed which is very crucial as far as the importance of the knowledge Tawheed is concern is Asma wa Sifaat. As the name implies in Arabic, it is the names and attributes of Allah (SWT) in his Holy Book which is not shared neither given to any of his creatures ('Abdullaah, n.d.). However, having authentic knowledge in this aspect of Tawheed, will enable a believer to avoid giving Allah’s attributes and names to his creatures for example, calling someone Abdullah, is one way of avoiding giving Allah’s names to his creatures. Why because Abdullah here means slave of Allah (SWT). This quest will help an individual through God’s power, to maintain Allah’s names and attributes by not deviating with it to the wrong direction or approach. This approach will certainly avoid choosing man or any form of Allah’s creatures as God that can help him in terms of difficulties just like for the case of Hindus. This is why knowledge of Tawheed is important so much so that its benefits cannot be over emphasise. Meanwhile, Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah is centered at directing all worships to the supreme maker alone ('Abdullaah, n.d.). This category of Tawheed is also referred to as Tawheed al-Ibaadah ('Abdullaah, n.d.). Directing all acts of worship to Allah (SWT) alone, is as important as avoiding shirk. So this makes essential for a Muslim to acquire knowledge of Tawheed in general.
conclusio, having knowledge of Tawheed is very essential as mention in detail in the above paragraphs. It enables a Muslim believer to avoid all forms of shirk and canter his or her worship to Allah alone (SWT). For a beli ever to be able to understand how God should be worship, he or she needs to read about Tawheed for guidance else may lead him to shirk as it will never be forgiven if one dies in the act.

Academic Writing Structure

An academic paper has three distinct sections - the introduction, body and conclusion:
INTRODUCTION: In the introduction, you must grab the reader’s attention and identify the thesis of the paper. You can do this by starting with: Several questions A quote from a famous work or person Some interesting facts or information A definition of an important term related to the work BODY: This is the main part of the work and the paragraphs must be clearly written and be arranged in a logical order, like chronologically or in order of importance. Each initial sentence links the preceding paragraph and the whole section flows smoothly.
Within each paragraph, the sentences need to flow and refer back to the topic. Cohesion is achieved by repeating important words, using synonyms for the main subject, and using transitional words like: however, such as, therefore, and for example.
CONCLUSION: In the conclusion, you re-emphasize the thesis and summarize all the main points. The conclusion consists of one paragraph which shows the final conclusion to the reader
Whether you are writing a research paper, a thesis, or a paper for a conference, these tips should help your paper be authoritative and coherent. Your thesis will be substantiated and explanations clear. Readers of your paper will follow your reasoning and understand your conclusion.
